Your child's emotional mental health is our top priority!
We specialize in the treatment and support of children, adolescents, teens and their families as they navigate their way to becoming successful young adults.
Children heal and learn through play! We utilize play therapy when working with children. Play therapy, in addition to cognitive behavioral therapy, are the quickest way we know to get the results you need.
We treat children who have difficulty with emotional control/regulation, learning differences, AD/HD, social skills difficulty, Autism Spectrum Disorders, behavior modification, and so much more. Parents are always supported by the therapist throughout the process. Therapists are available by phone, office appointment, and email in between sessions, should a concern arise.
You may call our counseling office with your questions and/or to set up a consultation at 610-928-1097.
In addition to individual play therapy sessions, we always have ongoing clubs and groups for children of various ages.
Club Ophelia is a group for girls between the ages of 10 - 15 who have experienced what I call "girl bullying." In the field of psychology we call it Relational Aggression, or RA. Girl bullying oftentimes goes under the radar of parents, teachers and school counselors. Girls can be very sneaky in their attacks against their own. They do this by utilizing cell phones to send harassing text messages, social media, the use of the internet to spread rumors and pictures of other girls they are bullying, and to send abusive instant messages to the girl being bullied. For more information on Club Ophelia and what we do to support girls who are familiar with RA, contact our office!
